The central theme of my life is gratitude. Iam truly grateful for being able to live my deepest calling. Whether I am counselling, consulting, acting as a spiritual guide, creating and facilitating seminars, or presenting with other teachers, I always take it as an opportunity to open myself to a deeper comprehension of human nature, especially a deeper understanding of myself. I am grateful that my vocations (from the Latin, “inner voice”) are informed and nurtured by my inner world. My creativity and imagination are active participants in all my being and doing.

Words cannot fully express the gratitude I feel to have two healthy, happy, interesting, grown children. One of the great joys and unexpected blessings of my life has been my relationship with my granddaughter. I have been blessed with extraordinary friendships and teachers. And when I least expected it, life presented more opportunity for loving and expanding. The ongoing creation of a sacred union with my partner is a gift from the universe for which I am forever grateful.

Yet with full knowing that my life is a bouquet of graditutes, I sometimes experience the phenomenon called fear. How to manage one’s fear is a constant and common theme explored by many of my clients . I feel hopeful and grateful to be living in a time rich with opportunity for us all to live less fear-directed, less fear-focused lives. More and more people of diverse cultures, economic resources, races and politics have come to appreciate how fear is destructive, invasive and contagious. Cultivating qualities such as joy, pleasure, self -awareness and expanding our concept of love are all ways in which gratitude can be expressed. Personifying these qualities have enriched many lives, including my own. (Great sentence!) When we generate a relationship with our creativity and imagination we begin to recognize we do not have to live with fear as our master. I am grateful that my vocations can provide people with the means to apply and integrate the practices that open to greater states of health and well-being.

"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow."
